In the end, it is revealed that Taboo is actually an alien from another dimension, and the group is able to defeat him using a combination of magic and brute force.

Giant-Size Werewolf 4 is notable for being one of the first Marvel team-up books to feature a character who was not traditionally associated with the Avengers. The issue also helped to establish the werewolf character Jack Russell as a more prominent figure in the Marvel Universe.
