The Topps baseball game released in 1968 was a tabletop baseball simulation game that utilized player cards from the corresponding year’s Topps baseball card set. The game allowed players to recreate baseball matchups by using player cards with various statistics and ratings.

In the 1968 edition of the game, the player cards featured black-and-white headshots of players from the Major League Baseball (MLB) teams. Each card included the player’s name, position, team, and statistics from the previous season. The cards were categorized into pitchers, fielders, and batters, and each card had different values and abilities to simulate their real-life performance.

The game involved strategic decision-making, including managing lineups, making pitching changes, and playing out at-bats using dice rolls and charts to determine the outcomes. The goal was to score runs and win games by outmaneuvering the opposing team.

The Topps Baseball Game from 1968 and other similar tabletop baseball games from that era are considered collectibles today, often sought after by vintage game and baseball memorabilia enthusiasts.
