We have a cool solid dome 1977 R2-D2 available now. Such an iconic character and a lot of Star Wars characters especially from 1977 and 1978 remind me of my brother’s childhood collection as he was obsessed with them then and then when we moved in the early 1980s, they were lost in the move. Either my parents or the movers somehow lost them but we never saw them again.
It makes me wonder how many other people of that era had a similar experience and are now trying to “recreate their collection”. Well this 1977 R2-D2 is obviously one of the figures that you would need to have a great vintage collection of the original Star Wars figures.
